Maria Poulizou is a Chemical Engineer (MEng) and a graduate of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Patras, Greece. Her research interests include Circular Economy, Sustainable Development, Waste and Wastewater Management, and Alternative Fuels. Her Diploma Thesis, conducted at the Environmental Engineering Laboratories of the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), focused on developing innovative technologies for wastewater utilization within the framework of the circular economy and environmental sustainability.

Maria Poulizou completed her Erasmus+ internship at ideopsis Ltd in 2024 and, since October 2025, has been a member of the ideopsis professional team.
