Stylianos Kaila holds an MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK. His professional background focuses on sustainability, energy efficiency, and decarbonisation.

Prior to joining ideopsis team, Stylianos worked in sustainability consulting, where he supported organisations in assessing and improving their sustainability performance. His experience includes sustainability reporting, environmental and sustainability data collection and analysis, stakeholder engagement, materiality assessments, value chain mapping and the evaluation of sustainability impacts.

He has also worked extensively in the maritime decarbonisation and energy efficiency sector. His work included the assessment of vessel energy performance and greenhouse gas emissions, the development and evaluation of decarbonisation scenarios, and techno-economic assessments of alternative fuels and low-carbon technologies.

In September 2026, Stylianos joined ideopsis as a Decarbonisation Expert.
