We are proud to announce that ideopsis, alongside eight other organizations, has signed a “Local Green Deal” (LGD) with the Municipality of Strovolos. This partnership marks a significant step towards facilitating and promoting Energy Communities in Cyprus.

The initiative centres on the creation of an online platform dedicated to Energy Community issues, aiming to drive innovation and collaboration in this crucial sector. Our identified partners in this transformative effort include:

Together, we will work to enhance Cyprus’s approach to energy communities and sustainable energy solutions.

The Energy Communities Online Platform will serve as a dynamic hub to support the growth and integration of energy communities by:

• Providing comprehensive information about Energy Communities.
• Delivering updates and briefings on legislative and regulatory issues in Cyprus, with a focus on the evolving regulatory framework.
• Showcasing best practices to inspire and guide stakeholders.
• Offering educational resources to empower individuals and organizations.
• Identifying and connecting stakeholders for enhanced collaboration.
• Facilitating consultation and dialogue through a user-friendly, interactive interface.

The development of this platform in a country with limited prior expertise in energy communities has the potential to be transformative. By fostering the creation of energy communities, this initiative will drive sustainable development, accelerate the energy transition, and empower stakeholders to play an active role in shaping Cyprus’s green future.
