ideopsis participated in the 1st workshop on circular economy for climate-neutral Limassol 2030
The Municipality of Limassol has been selected as one of the 100 cities that will participate in the EU Mission Cities, with the aim of becoming climate neutral and smart city by 2030, in areas such as energy, circular economy, transport, the built environment, etc. The process of preparing the “Climate City Convention” includes the organization of a series of workshops and consultations with stakeholders and the active engagement of citizens.
The first workshop of the working group on Circular Economy was held on the 13th February 2023. ideopsis has been invited to take active part at the workshop. There was a very brief presentation of the European Mission and the Existing Policies and Strategies in the Circular Economy. A SWOT analysis followed with the participation of all stakeholders (governmental authorities, higher education institutions, research organizations, organizations from the private sector, etc), which covered (i) Mapping of the current situation, (ii) GAP analysis and (iii) proposed actions. The aim was to gather ideas on what can be included in the Climate Convention’s Circular Economy Chapter.
